Each week, I am going to be featuring an affiliate which could present you with a money-making opportunity on your blog. I know for me, I don’t always think about the various companies and products out there that would be a great fit for my readers. Well, hopefully you’ll find some affiliates that you can work with via this weekly post.
I’ll introduce you to the featured affiliate and suggest a couple of blog niches that might be good for promoting this affiliate. Please keep in mind that these posts are only suggestions and if you don’t think the product/company is right for you blog’s content, don’t promote it.
This week’s featured affiliate is MixBook. Mixbook offers photo books, cards, calendars and more. Mixbook has a beautiful and easy to use website, which is important for affiliates. It’s our job to get people to visit the site, but once they get there, it’s up to the site to convert that sale and make YOU money.
You can join the Mixbook affiliate program here. It’s through the ShareASale affiliate network, so if you’re not a member of that, you’ll be able to join the network, and then the Mixbook program here.
With Mixbook, you earn 15% of sales made by people clicking through from your affiliate links. ShareASale touts an average sale of $75+. That’s a pretty nice bounty! They have over 200 banners of all sizes and styles to choose from in the affiliate interface. This makes promoting Mixbook quite easy!
Promoting photo books, calendars and cards is easy and fitting with the content of many lifestyle sites. They also offer coupon for customers, which makes promoting Mixbook on a regular basis very easy. Once you introduce Mixbook products and if your readers respond well, imagine being able to promote a discount code for them as well.
Another popular way to promote products like this is to order one for yourself and blog about how much you love it. Occasionally, affiliate managers will be willing to give you a free product to do this! Once you join the program, you’ll have access to their contact email and you can shoot them an email requesting a special promotional item or discount. The worst they can say is “no” right?
Anyway, that’s the first featured affiliate here. Remember, if it doesn’t fit within your content, please don’t promote this company’s products! It’s all about fitting into your content. That’s why I am coming back weekly with a new affiliate. Hopefully you pick up a new income generating affiliate soon!
